Can Rockets continue streak versus Celtics?

Houston_Rockets.gif

The Rockets have just been simply amazing. After Yao Ming went down with a season ending injury, no one in the world would have guessed that the team would continue the winning streak that they have been able to accomplish--which is standing at 22. They've beaten some good teams, their last one being the Los Angeles Lakers, but now they face the Eastern Conference's probable champion in the Boston Celtics. Can they keep it going?

If there's one advantage, it's that they are at home. If there is another advantage, it's that the Celtics are playing against the very tough and physical San Antonio Spurs tonight. But the question is--do they really need those advantages? While everyone has of course thought that the leader is presumably Tracy McGrady, there have been others that have stepped up nicely in Ming's absence and the timing of it couldn't be better.

Shane Battier is one that has really been "the man" defensively, and he's shooting close to 40% from three. But perhaps the biggest surprise has been Luis Scola, who is a legitimate threat for rookie of the year and is averaging near 12 points a game and plays hard when he needs to play, but also allows for the big guns to do what they need to do--there's no egos on this team (besides McGrady, who seems oddly to be more of a team player than ever).

Do I think they can do it? Yes, I do. Will they eclipse the Lakers record of 33 straight? That's a tall order--but they've already done a monumental order in 22, so anything's possible.
