Celtics so good they don't need to fill roster spots--yet

The Celtics are rolling....even so much that experts are trying to prognosticate that they may break the Chicago Bulls' record of 72-10 set back in the 90s. The trio of Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and everyone else has been clicking on all cylinders from the get-go.

The Celtics recently waived rookie Brandon Wallace and now have two spots available. However, Coach Doc Rivers has said that he has not discussed who he would add or even if he would add another player at this time, and that he and front man Danny Ainge haven't even discussed anything. Rivers has cited that he thinks that the chemistry is great now and of course, the team is winning--so even having someone else on the team would possibly jeopardize that.

Possible pick ups could be Gary Payton (someone to think about considering that Allen has injury history), Chris Webber, P.J. Brown, or Dale Davis. Brown would be a good pickup but he may be too expensive for what the Celtics need--Rivers said basically that unless they could get a starter out of the pick up, there would be no reason for them to do so.

Geesh. An embarrassment of riches, wouldn't you say? A bit pretentious as well, in my opinion. You never know even with the Big Three when something bad could happen--so why take that chance when you could at least be bringing someone decent into the team's system and then not skip a beat. It's rolling a dice of greed.
