Cleveland cruises to 2-0 lead versus Nets

Just when it looked like the Pistons were the dominant team in the East, along comes the King. Lebron James, that is. While they haven't beat up the Nets like the Pistons have beat up on the Bulls, the Cavaliers certainly look like a team with enough swagger to play and win against anyone, as they beat the Nets 102-92 to take a 2-0 lead.

While the Pistons have sauntered their way through an undefeated postseason, the Cavs can say the same and then some--as they have actually won 10 straight. Not only has Cleveland rode the wave of greatness that James gives them, but some unfamiliar faces are starting to contribute in big ways--namely Sasha Pavlovic and his staunch defense. Drew Gooden also has been solid, contributing a double-double in the game 2 win.

Could it be a little premature to crown the King just yet? Perhaps. While the Cavs have looked impressive, let's not forget that these first two opponents aren't exactly the class of the conference, even though New Jersey did upset the Toronto Raptors in round one. Cleveland took advantage of an overmatched Washington team and is now pressing a tired New Jersey team that had to play its heart out every game against the Raptors. On the other side, the Pistons took out lowly Orlando and have a big step up in competition in the Bulls, and have pounded them like one of Mike Tyson's early victims.

Nonetheless, give credit where credit is due. Cleveland has never been 2-0 in the semifinals, and with the way things are going, it's shaping up to be a classic Eastern Conference final.
