Coaching news: Theus, Shaw to interview for Kings' Job

Former Sacramento Kings player Reggie Theus, along with Lakers assistant Brian Shaw are rumored to be getting second interviews with the Kings for their vacant coaching position. Theus brings not only the charisma and playing experience to back up his resume, but also is a local favorite.

Now that the Spurs did so well in the finals, assistant coach P.J. Carlesimo is also expected to be interviewed by the Kings along with several other teams. On the heels of Scott Brooks' interview this week, Theus and Shaw may have quite a show to put on, as numerous sources have claimed that Kings officials were thrilled with Brooks and his demeanor.

While the Kings search for a coach, the player personnel issue continues to mount, as trade rumors also have been mentioned for Mike Bibby, Ron Artest, as well as the pursuit of Chinese star Yi Jianlian. One thing is basically apparent--the team that takes the court in the 2007-2008 may be very different than the one that ended this season, and the fans are certainly ready for such. There have been several angry letters in the Sacramento Bee calling for sweeping changes, so anything is better than nothing. Stay tuned!
