Curry's season done

eddy.curry.jpg

Eddy Curry had a disappointing season, and now he is having knee arthroscopic surgery, ending his season mercifully. Is there really anything else to say?

Sorry, just the cynical side of me...Pretty much when you mention a Knicks player, the word "disappointing" goes hand in hand, and any time you mention Isiah Thomas in the same sentence, it's usually accompanied by "pathetic". While Curry didn't reach that low, he certainly did not have even close to the year he had previously with New York, when he averaged close to 20 points a game.

The biggest difference? Adding Zach Randolph to the mix. These two were basically one in the same player, and Curry's numbers dropped immensely as Randolph tried to find his place as well. When Randolph was out, Curry flourished. But then on March 7th he injured the knee, and is now having the surgery to end the season--and while this is not anything that is mind-shattering, you should keep an eye on his progress in the offseason, because it could have major implications for the Knicks going into next season.
