Denver clinches playoff berth with 7th straight win

When Allen Iverson was traded to the Nuggets, you could see the Denver uniforms flying off the rack faster than even Lebron James' jersey did when he was a rookie. The flashy, shoot-happy, tattooed guard brought a new attitude to this team, and combining with Carmelo Anthony, this team was looked at as a major threat to the Western conference.

Well, now we can finally see what brass the Nuggets are made of. After defeating Utah on April 11, Denver has clinched a spot in the playoffs and, according to the standings now, would face San Antonio in the first round.

While I can say congrats to the Nuggets for making it, don't crown them the "next" just yet. There's only 4 games left in the season, Anthony and Iverson still don't have that "gel" like Jordan and Pippen did, and the West right now is still way too good for Denver to even think of doing anything beyond the first round. Even with this improvement in their team, I don't think the Nuggets will win more than 1 game if they have to face the Spurs.

At least that will give AI more time to dream up another tat that maybe he can place on his...ummm....achilles heel?
