Durant trying to keep Sonics from embarrassment

Ok, well, they are probably at the point of embarrassment. With a franchise record start to the season in futility, the Sonics still have 4 games on an east coast trip that could leave them at 1-11 or even 0-12 before coming back to the Emerald City. What's happening here?

Well, Kevin Durant is happening, that's what. Even though he's a rookie, he is averaging more than 20 pts a game and has taken more than 60 shots than his second-highest teammate(Chris Wilcox). However, he is shooting a paltry 38% from the field, and the Sonics aren't winning. Translation=this isn't working. I like Durant just like everyone else and can appreciate his talent, but for a veteran coach like PJ Carlesimo, things have got to change. Your veterans need to step up and take the ball a little bit more to the hole, you've got to get Durant to play make yet dump the ball, stop forcing shots, and stop trying to be like MJ.

Granted, it's not as if these simple changes will suddenly make the Sonics into a contender, but it should give them at least some Ws. People may come out to see Durant, but if the Sonics keep losing, it won't matter if he is scoring 50 points a game (Reference--see Gilbert Arenas).
