Garnett leading the way in All-Star voting

as2008.jpgWith less than a month until the All-Star voting ceases, there is a clear favorite now overall: Kevin Garnett. Brought back from the depths of basketball purgatory which is Minnesota, Garnett now is playing much more enthusiastic, passionate, and has his new-look Celtics on the brink of greatness.

There's also some other players that are joining him in this quest, perhaps you've heard of them--Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. While they are fourth in voting at their respective positions, there's a clear voice in the voting--the Celtics are here to stay. Lebron James is coasting as the second-highest vote getter in the Eastern Conference.

In the West, while I hate to say this, Kobe Bryant is the leading vote getter. I guess all that negative publicity this summer proves once and for all that publicity is publicity and that's that...Bryant is followed by a more worthy Yao Ming for second.

Probably not much will change over the next month, but hey, you can still get your votes in for Greg Oden (sigh).
