"Godzbilla" dominates Clippers

pryzbilla_300_080322.jpg

Joel Przybilla came into the game versus Los Angeles Clippers averaging almost 8 boards a game, which is not bad at all. But when you factor in that the Clips were without their star center Chris Kaman and that the team only had one player bigger than 6'9" compared to Przybilla's 7'1" stature, it makes it almost that the towering center resembled "GODZBILLA!!!"

And so the game went for the Clippers, who stood in horror as the Portland Trail Blazers' center pulled down 25 boards and scored 14 points in the Blazers' win at the Staples Center. His rebound total was two short of the team record, and his previous high was 22 boards.

This guy is just another reason why the Blazers have been so successful without Greg Oden for the entire year. Sure, next year when Oden is healthy Przybilla's minutes will go down, but he still is solid and you can not deny that it takes talent and ability to get that many rebounds--even Dennis Rodman would tell you that.
