Has Stern Lost it?

What in the name of Dennis Rodman is happening to the NBA?

Referees betting on everything...Players bad mouthing their teams and owners in the press and in--gasp--blogs...GMs sexually harrassing...Arrests being made nearly every week...Law suits being handed out like candy...

And now, the man who is supposed to be the rock that the NBA relies upon to right the ship is heading down a shaky path that puts the integrity of the NBA at stake: David Stern may have officially lost it. With arbitrary and convenient decisions on some very serious matters as well as subjective answers to seemingly open and closed cases.

Who polices the police? What does this mean to the future of the league? Stern needs to have his head examined and his policies revamped more than ever--and have a damn backbone for something that actually matters--not a player coming off the bench and being hardnosed about the rules, but fining and giving proper penalties to at least the referees who have obviously done wrong. Oh, it is a "logistical nightmare" if he fired everyone, right? Believe me, I think that should be the minimum--because while it would be difficult, it would continue to send a message to the league--screw up--and you pay the price. All he is acting like now is a coddling and codependent father of a precocious child that is out of control not wanting to "be mean" because that would mean his child wouldn't be his friend.

Pathetic.
