Kohl vows to keep Bucks in Milwaukee

bucks.jpg

Ok, maybe "vow" is a little strong. Let's just say that according to Senator Herb Kohl, he has no plans to move the Milwaukee Bucks elsewhere. While the Bradley Center was built in 1988 and isn't a dinosaur, it certainly isn't up to the standards of the corporate and box office suites that adorn so many of the new hyped up arenas.

But let's be honest. The Bucks have struggled in so many ways and they seemed headed down that lonely path of being moved. Why? Their attendance has been awful, their team has been next to pitiful and is headed towards a third lottery pick in four years, so yes--this franchise has a toe tag on it at this point.

With Milwaukee taxpayers already not happy about what they had to pay for the Milwaukee Brewers Miller Park and the state giving the Green Bay Packers a facelift at the taxpayers expense, Kohl really would be asking for trouble if he wanted a bigger and better arena, but something's gotta give.
