Ok, so I went on my not-so-mini rant yesterday about Shaq going to the Suns and what a bonehead move it was. For Steve Kerr's sake, I hope I am wrong. But I got that sneakin' feeling....
However, it was a jackpot for the Miami Heat. A team that is obviously one of the worst in the league strangely so, with some youthful players, made an excellent move in getting the versatile Shawn Marion. He is everything the Heat needs, a big muscle man down low but also with the ability to shoot outside and free up Dwyane Wade. While I am sure he is not exactly happy with the fact that he will be sitting home for the entire playoffs this year, next year could be much different with the Heat.
It was not a surprise that the Suns traded Marion, because this is the second year in which the offseason had some pretty huge bumps with Marion and the Phoenix front office. While I have a feeling that sending Marion to the Heat was also a little bit of the Suns' management sticking out their tongue at Marion, I believe in the end he'll be the one having the last laugh.
