'Melo's D-U-I spells S-T-U-P-I-D

Yey! Your team is going to the playoffs! What are you going to do, Carmelo Anthony? "I'm gonna get drunk and drive like a moron!" YEYYYYYY!!!

I mean....seriously....I know athletes make mistakes (See Kobe Bryant in Colorado a couple of years ago), but something like that doesn't hurt anyone physically (per se). Drugs, Drinking and Driving, these are things that there are reasons why there are laws--and for athletes, who seem to always think they are above the law (see Indiana Pacers entire team), it almost ALWAYS ends up hurting them in the end. Yes, yes, I know, Sir Charles, "I am not a role model." But you forget that you ARE in the public spotlight--period--and you represent your team and yourself. Where's the pride? Where's the discipline?

Anthony hasn't had a huge criminal past, but he did have an issue with appearing in a "Stop Snitching" video; but maybe now he won't have to promote that, because it's not like he needs to. In fact, Denver police now face a bit of scrutiny for preferential treatment--because normally they are supposed to either take a DUI case to a detox center or call someone who is sober to pick them up. Well, they called 'Melo's shorty, and she declined picking him up. So--he went to detox right? Nope. The police drove him to his hotel and then also drove his car to the parking lot.

They may not be a role model, but we sure do treat 'em that way. And as long as things like this continue to happen, it won't matter anyway.
