MJ practicing with Bobcats--and your point is?

There was a news breaking article about the Charlotte Bobcats. They made a big trade? Nope. Beat a huge team? Nope. Actually won a game? Well, they've won a few, but no, not this time.

The AP article headline: Jordan practices with his struggling Bobcats

Ok. Great. So what? Just because Michael Jordan is part-owner and he still has some legend behind him, getting on a basketball court after he's retired twice and at age 44 is really, well...what is it exactly? Is the team suddenly supposed to man up because they have been on the court with one of the greats? Did he teach them a thing or two, giving some extra tutelage to coach Sam Vincent?

Not really--or at least that's what we know, anyways.

The Bobcats, in no uncertain terms, have been another disappointment this year. They started out 5-4 and then have lost 10 of 12. Looks like it's going to be another long winter in Charlotte. At least they have ACC basketball!

The fact that this makes headlines is a joke. MJ was great--note the WAS there--but just because he's hitting a few jumpers in a shootaround doesn't mean the team will suddenly look like the Bulls of the '90s. Give me a break.
