NBA Draft Live Blog: First Round Picks 11-15

8:36: According to fan voting the Hawks should take Al Thornton. That just shows you that fans are stupid. That's exactly what the Hawks need, ANOTHER swing man. Hopefully the Hawks are looking point here, but it would be hilarious if they went forward again.

8:37: Stephen A. is hating on the Noah pick. He says the Bulls already have a bunch of energy guys who can't shoot. I feel a little dirty for agreeing with Stephen A.

8:38: With the 11th pick the Hawks take Acie Law. WHAT?!?! THE HAWKS TOOK A POINT GUARD?!?! I'm expecting the Four Horseman to be riding across the sky any minute. Law is another guy I really like and the Hawks are having a great draft. I never thought I'd type that sentence. It still looks weird.

8:43: Sal is in Philly (shock) and says Billy Hunter had been trying to move up all night, but failed. Wait, wait, wait. Billy Hunter wasn't able to make a deal? Really? I'm stunned.

8:46: With the 12th pick in the 2007 Draft the Sixers select Thaddeus Young. Well color me happy. I thought Al Thornton was going here, but he's slowly slipping towards the Pistons. I'm not completely sold on Young, but you have to trust Billy Hunter right? Right? Nick Young, Julian Wright or Al Thornton will be there for Detroit at 15....I'm starting to get excited.

8:51: Atlanta GM Billy Knight is doing an interview with ESPN which eliminates my theory that the Hawks had him drugged and someone with a brain made their picks. I still can't believe the Hawks have had a good draft.

8:52: With the 13th pick in the 2007 Draft the Hornets select Julian Wright. WOO! That means the Pistons can either snag Nick Young or Al Thornton at 15! Julian needs some work, but this could end up being a steal for the Hornets in the long run. Dickie V says he'll average double figures in scoring this season. Don't know if I'd go THAT far, but in a couple of years he could be quite the player.

8:56: Stu Scott just took at shot at Memo Okur. What the hell? He's a pretty good NBA player Stu, it's not like he's some crap player just slumming on an NBA roster.

8:58: ESPN lists Shaun Livingston as a forward. Forward? Is that what they're calling POINT GUARDS now?

8:59: With the 14th pick the Clippers select Al Thornton. Good call for the Clips. I'm high on Thornton and he can do a good job replacing Corey Maggette since they seem to want to get rid of him so bad. THE PISTONS ARE ON THE CLOCK! NICK YOUNG BABY!

9:01: Thornton is now the second lottery pick who has braces. Apparently they are the must have accessory this year unless your name is Joakim Noah. Sorry, that was a low blow, but it was too easy of a joke to make.

9:03: Jimmy Kimmel is co-hosting the ESPY's with LeBron. Well there's another reason I won't be watching, other than the fact that they mean absolutely nothing...just saying.

9:05: With the 15th pick in the 2007 Draft the Pistons select Rodney Stuckey. Well can't say I'm really pist with this pick, but I really wanted to see Nick Young here. Stuckey is the kind of combo guard that the Pistons like. Jay Bilias calls him a "poor man's Dwyane Wade." Does that mean he gets crazy amounts of foul calls too?

God damn it! I was so hoping that law would drop to the Pistons. Could Al Thornton or Nick Young drop to them? Still, I really wanted Law.
