9:38: Mitch Kupchak does an interview with Jim Gray and basically tells him to mind his own business and that he's not telling him anything. Wonderful interview. Kupchak finishes it off by saying that the Lakers will be able to make deals this summer. Well everyone can make deals...but good deals?
9:41: With the 21st pick in the 2007 Draft the Sixers select Daequan Cook. Apparently there is a trade involved here. Cook is going to the Heat and Smith, who the Heat took earlier, will go to the Sixers. Either way I really didn't like either one of these guys so I think it's a trade that most people are going to end up forgetting.
9:46: Nets GM Rod Thorn is on for an interv....What? Huh? Sorry I just fell alseep for a couple of minutes.
9:47: With the 22nd pick the Bobcats select Jared Dudley. Apparently Jordan only watches the ACC. I'm not really surprised since it's hard to watch a lot of college basketball when you're golfing or in Vegas gambling with Charles Oakley all the time. Dickie V likes the pick though. I can't wait till they go to Vitale to tell us how great Josh McRoberts will be once he's picked....
9:50: Spike Lee comes on and says he thinks Isiah "knows what he's doing." I just lost a lot of respect for Spike as a basketball fan.
9:51: Stephen A. (who slammed Isiah last year for the Balkman pick) says that everyone should have faith in Isiah because he drafts really well. I guess I would have to agree I suppose. Isiah does generally draft pretty well, he just doesn't do the rest too well.
9:52: With the 23rd pick the Knicks select Wilson Chandler. Spike Lee called this pick during his interview. Does Isiah clear all of his draft picks through Spike?
9:55: Chandler says that New York is a great city and the fans are great. Just once I'd like to see someone come on and say that they really don't like the city they were drafted to and the team really sucks. It's not going to happen, but I can always dream.
9:56: Ric Bucher is saying that the Blazers have bought the 24th pick from the Suns. Stephen A. then goes on a rant about how the Blazers are looking for "character guys." Um, didn't they just trade for Steve Francis?
9:58: With the 24th pick the Suns (Blazers) select Rudy Fernandez. Don't have much to say on this pick since I don't get a lot of European games on TV at my house. The Utah Jazz are on the clock now and could there be any better player for the Jazz than Josh McRoberts? Doesn't he just fit that Utah mold?
10:04: Stephen A. hates Mehmet Okur. Apparently having one bad series is enough for Stephen A. to give up on him. Have a little patience.
10:05: With the 25th pick the Jazz select Morris Almond. This is a guy I would have been happy to see the Pistons get at 27 had they gone big with the first pick. He's a good shooter who does have the ability to make his own shot. I'm starting to get a little scared that the Pistons make take McRoberts at 27. Hopefully my fear is unfounded....
