NBA Draft Live Blog: First Round Picks 6-10

8:02: Mikki Moore does a commercial for the NBA D-League. I remember when he was on the Pistons and people thought he was going to be a decent pro. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Yeah, that didn't work out.

8:03: With the sixth pick the Bucks take Yi Jianlian. Somewhere Andrew Bogut is raising his Fosters to Yi's arrival. The only problem is Yi's handlers have said that if the Bucks took him he wouldn't come to the NBA next year. Now the staring contest is on between Yi and the Bucks. It'll be interesting to see who blinks first.

8:06: Andy Katz says that the Bucks are excited to get Yi. Unfortunately I don't think Yi carries the same enthusiasm. Ric Bucher makes his first appearance on the show to say that Yi doesn't want to play in Milwaukee. Thanks for that Ric, there's only been about 3 other people who said that already.

8:07: Yi dares to do his interview with Stu Scott sans an interpreter. It's about as much of a disaster as you'd think. Almost painful to watch.

8:09: I've decided that Stephen A. really has nothing really good to say, but decides screaming it is the best way to make it sound like he has something to add to the festivities. He spent the last couple of minutes yelling about Yi or something, but I didn't really get anything out of it. Bilas cut him off and I thought Stephen A. was going to jump across the table and choke him.

8:11: With the seventh pick in the 2007 Draft the T'Wolves select Corey Brewer. Great pick for the T'Wolves. I really like Brewer. He is a guy who can score and he's a great defender as well. Now the T'Wolves need to get off their ass and trade KG.

8:12: Dickie V shows up to talk about how great Corey Brewer is. I feel bad for the audio guy who has to make sure Dick and Stephen A. don't overmodulate. A lot of screaming going on.

8:15: ESPN's draft graphic is teasing, "MJ and Charlotte's first pick." If it's anything like their first pick last year (Adam Morrison) we're all in for a treat. This could be another spot for a trade though.

8:17: Rachel Nichols is in Charlotte and tells us that MJ has been looking to trade this pick. If they don't trade it they want somebody who's, "NBA Ready," as opposed to "Horrible" like Adam Morrison....

8:18: With the eighth pick the Bobcats select Brandan Wright. Well you had to know MJ wouldn't pass on the Tar Heel. Bilas makes a joke that Jordan should have worn a mask when he made this pick because it was a steal. What a great joke Jay. Just what I'd expect from a Lawyer who went to Duke. I guess the whole "NBA ready" thing goes out the window with this pick. Wright won't be ready to dominate for a couple of years.

8:21: Brandan says in his interview with Stu that Jordan, "doesn't want any of this" one-on-one. Um, I don't think a lanky dude with braces should be calling out Michael Jordan. Wright looks like he's about 12.

8:22: We get our first Spike Lee cutaway as the Bulls are on the clock with what woudl have been the Knicks pick. Don't worry Knick fans, they'll either take Hawes or Noah here so either way it's probably going to be a bust.

8:25: With the ninth pick in the 2007 Draft the Bulls pick Joakim Noah! Noah is dressed like a jackass, but then again did you expect anything less from this guy? As a Pistons fan I have to say I'm pretty happy with this pick. Noah is basically a tall rebounder with no shot. Perfect fit for the Bulls who needed low post scoring. Way to fill the need Chicago! Thanks for not improving!

8:28: Stu Scott just asked Joakim what, "Wow" means. I don't even have the words....

8:31: Kevin Durant just takes Gilbert Arenas one-on-one in the NBA LIve commercial, not that it's really that hard with the way Gilbert plays defense. Don't worry Agent Zero, you're still one of my fave players.

8:32: With the tenth pick the Kings select Spencer Hawes. Um, don't they already have Brad Miller? Isn't this the same guy? Ian says Hawes looks like Ricky Row from the movie Blue Chips. Hawe has BUST written all over him.
