NBA Playoffs: Dallas Mavericks (1) vs. Golden St. Warriors (8)

Yey Golden St.!! You played your heart out on the final game of the season to make it to the playoffs! You didn't want to be in the Greg Oden Sweepstakes anyways, right? Yey! And now, you get the chance to prove your worth against---uh-oh--drumroll--the Dallas Mavericks.

The Western conference juggernaut Mavericks seem to be a team on a mission. Led by the likes of Dirk Nowitzki, Devin Harris, Jason Terry, Josh Howard, and Jerry Stackhouse, the Mavericks just look unstoppable. Winning 67 games this year has everyone shaking in their shoes. Ok, maybe that's a bit dramatic, but come on--give these guys more credit than the 67 games won in playing mostly within a conference that makes the Eastern look like the D-League.

Golden St. has its share of stars in Baron Davis, Andris Biedrins, and Stephen Jackson. Ok,well perhaps Jackson is known more for his shooting off the court--but I digress. This is a team that was responsible for 20% of the Mavs losses this year, taking all 3 from Dallas. So--they got that going for them. But honestly, do they have a chance?

Let's just say this--the Warriors have more of a chance of winning the series from the Mavericks as Mark Cuban has a chance to be the next NBA commissioner. Ain't gonna happen, folks.

Prediction: Dallas in five at most. You're welcome, Golden St.
