Nets making series interesting with Cavs, but does anyone care?

Ok, so we would have all liked to see the Raptors taking on Lebron James and the Cavaliers. But, alas, as the wicked way goes, the New Jersey Nets came in and played the Snidely Whiplash role and ousted my beloved Canadians. So, then, when I have been looking at the series for the Cavs and the Nets, it basically reminds me of Will and Grace reruns that are on late at night that you can just "take or leave".

Why? Well, for one thing, the series lacks the drama of the others out there right now. The Pistons just clinched their fifth straight conference final by defeating the still up-and-coming Bulls. The Suns and the Spurs are still slugging it out (literally), and the Jazz just got past the most surprising team of the playoffs, the Golden St. Warriors. Even the first round series between the Raptors and the Nets had so many storylines in it that "Lost" producers would be foaming at the mouth.

For all intensive purposes, this series is 3-2 heading back to New Jersey, but does anyone outside of a 50-mile radius from these two teams really care? I mean, come on, New Jersey has made a decent effort out of this, but even catching some of these games, the Cavs look so slow and unmotivated they could just as well be sitting in a class learning about basket weaving and show the same desire. Plus, only one team has eclipsed the century mark 1 time in the series: combined with the lack of effort, this just means that the teams are shooting like a fifth-grade girls team.

I still say the Cavs will win, although it may take seven games overall. If Vince Carter and Jason Kidd can continue to step up their games, we may see another upset, but again, to face the Pistons, would that really be anything the NBA would want as far as ratings?? Talk about your all-time fixer-uppers!
