New Orleans surprising everyone--including themselves

At 6-2 now, the New Orleans Hornets had a special feeling about this year--but to be this good this quickly?

In even defeating the Nets by a layup from Chris Paul to eek out a 2 point victory, the Hornets coach--Byron Scott, even said that he had no idea how they won the game (not a great thing to say as the coach, FYI). But he was pointing out that last year the team would have folded, but with guys like Paul maturing quickly and the depth of the team, this is something that could be a sign of things to come--and yes, quickly.

The Hornets are still playing some typical ball--get out on a team early, and then the opposing team fights back to make it close. But with Peja Stojakovic healthy, Tyson Chandler finally playing to his potential consistently, Mo Peterson doing damage (I bet Toronto is missing that greatly), and Paul leading the way, they've got the tools to get the job done. Keep them on your radar.
