Now this is what basketball's about!

Tim Duncan doesn't shoot three pointers. Generally doesn't need to. With his dominant inside game and the San Antonio Spurs' game plans, he doesn't really have to go outside of the lane much at all. So when he hit a three--his first of the season--in the closing seconds of the first overtime to tie the game with the Phoenix Suns and send it into the second overtime, it is truly what basketball is all about--the greatness of it all.

And then Manu Ginobili hits a driving layup with 1.8 seconds to win the game--and this was just game 1 of the series. Strangely enough, the Suns basically dominated the game for the first three quarters, but then it was vintage Spurs--not panicky, just execution. But in the second overtime, the Spurs lead by 3 with 15 seconds left, and in classic form, Steve Nash hits a three to tie it up--which then lead to Ginobili's fearless drive for the layup.

This is the matchup that everyone has been waiting for--what a lot of people considered last year to be the "real" finals, as the Cavs were swept away. This was a great game all around and I certainly hope every one is like this, even though if that were the case these guys' would all probably have heart attacks (at least the coaches will).
