Nuggets-Warriors: Let's get it on

carmelo-anthony-player-exclusive-shoes-14.jpg

I just simply can't get my arms wrapped around the Western Conference playoff race. I mean, here you have two teams in the Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors that have played absolutely wonderful basketball all year and yet here they are, less than a week away from the end of the season, and they both are fighting to just simply STAY in the playoffs; meanwhile, in the eastern conference, teams under .500 are still fighting for a position or are in fact--in. It don't make no sense I tells ya!

Golden State has the advantage of being at home in Oracle Arena, and is coming off posting a sssssmkin' 140 points on Sacramento--but they also gave up 132. They play 3 of the 4 remaining games at home and have the upper hand on the eighth spot. They are playing with supreme confidence and are certainly not the "awww shucks gee whiz" team that made the playoffs quietly last year. They have solidified their best record in almost 14 years. Ya gotta hand it to them.

But Denver is not going to go down without a fight; any team that has Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson has a shot every game, but there's a dim light on this game--the Nuggets have the worst road record out of the remaining possible playoff teams. But if there's something the Nuggets can point out, it's that the Warriors have the worst home record out of the possible playoff teams as well. It will certainly be a dogfight.
