Reports from the LA Times note that Lamar Odom claimed he meant no harm to Celtics guard Ray Allen, which resulted in a one-game suspension and $120,441 in lost salary.
"I wasn't trying to hurt him. I was just trying to make a play on the ball. If I would have cheap-shotted him, he would have known I would have cheap-shotted him."
Wow. Now that sounds like a world-class statement. I would have never guessed it, Mr. Obvious!! At least give us a halfway intelligent answer, Lamar. Your subjectiveness thug-like cheap shot definition is not what matters here, and so is that more of a threat than a statement? Granted, Allen is about as fragile as a 15th century Manchu dynasty vase, but still....you can do better than that.
Get over yourself. If you were playing good defense in the first place, the hard foul wouldn't have had to happen. This guy has been hanging around Kobe way too long.
