Ohhhhh my! Lebron sends Cavs to 3-2 lead on classic performance

We all knew that Lebron James was the next. We just didn't know when.

"The Next" may be right now, after Lebron virtually willed the Cavaliers to victory over the Pistons in double overtime in Motown to take a 3-2 lead in the series and has the series in balance as they head back to Cleveland for game six. The laurels go on and on....48 points total...29 of the last 30 points for the Cavs..including 25 in a row....behind the back dribbles immediately into fadeaway 20 footers...slashing through the lane for the final layup...we may indeed be seeing the NEXT right now.

The irony of this situation is palpable. Remember back in the late 80's, a Pistons team lead by Isiah Thomas and Dennis Rodman was known as the "Bad Boys", and then a young team lead by a superstar came along and dethroned them, culminating in six titles down the stretch. That player? Michael Jordan.

Believe me, folks, me and about 99% of the sports population gave Cleveland no chance in this series, especially after being down 0-2, albeit the total combined point ratio was only six points over those two games (identical 79-76 losses). Now Cleveland is on the brink of going to the NBA Finals to face the scary Spurs.

Don't crown the King just yet though...we all know the playoff-tested Pistons have the tools to get the job done. But after watching game 5 in sheer awe, I'm not sure if any team right now could budge the momentum of "the King".
