Ouch! Magic to potentially pick "pass first" guard in trade

We all know how the positions are supposed to play and where, we all know the jargon and the stereotypes. However, we also know that over a course of years, a point guard and a shooting guard don't necessarily guarantee truth-in-advertising. Subsequently, we have big guys down low that can come out and shoot the three effectively (aka Dirk Nowitzki), so there's been more blending of anything else of the "typical" NBA player.

So, when it has been rumored that the Orlando Magic are looking for a potential draft pick that is a "pass first" guard, Jameer Nelson should take offense. Not only did Nelson do a great job in leading the team despite being one of the more undersized players in the NBA, he did it with flair and leadership while "Mr. Fragile" Grant Hill sat on the sidelines in one of his thousand-dollar suits.

Why the emphasis on this? Well--many have stated that Nelson's leadership is good--but that the offense as a whole "grinds to a halt" when he's on the floor. I am not so sure that is the biggest problem with the Magic--they need some solid draft picks and a better offensive game plan before you stick a finger towards Jameer.

Show some love!
