Ouch! Raptors see third player go down this summer to injury

The Raptors should be worried...Not only did they see their big gun Chris Bosh go down to a foot injury, then came Jorge Garbajosa still not getting better from his leg injury, and now Carlos Delfino has gone down with a knee injury over the weekend which will force him out of action from the FIBA Qualifier.

Delfino injured the same knee two years ago and has undergone an MRI as a precautionary measure. The team doctor was "optimistic" of the results that they are waiting on for the injury. While Delfino has not played in a Raptors uniform as the team got him from Detroit in June, it is nonetheless concerning that so many things have gone wrong and the preseason has yet to begin. While Bosh and Garbajosa should be able to return to form, if the injury is severe enough, it could sideline Delfino for quite some time. The Raptors gave up two second-round draft picks to get Delfino.

Stay tuned--The Raptors trainer could be earning his salary early and often should this trend continue.
