Pacers Problems Continue as Harrison Suspended

dharr.jpg

The NBA announced today that Indiana's David Harrison has been suspended for five games for breaking the Anti-drug policy. This will be without pay and will begin this weekend when the Pacers play the Kings.

Will the problems ever stop? The Pacers just cannot shake the reputation of having a team full of thugs and basically basketball players on the inside and society's dregs on the outside. It started just this season with Shawne Williams and his marijuana incident, and now under undisclosed details, Harrison is going to have to pay for something obvious not serious enough to warrant an extensive suspension, but a suspension nonetheless.

When are the Pacers going to clean house from top to bottom? I'm not talking about new coach Jim O'Brien, but Rick Carlisle shouldn't have been fired in the first place, the moves that his team should have made rests solely in Larry Bird's lap, and he should have cleared out all of the muck and taken the lumps much like the T-Wolves are doing now. If there's one thing that Minnesota can hang their hat on, they don't have nearly a fraction of the rap sheet that the Pacers have. That, to me, in trying to rebuild the NBA image, should be priority number one, not W's.
