Que Bella! Belinelli Lights Up Vegas Summer League

Marco Belinelli, who for many people in the North America sounded like the guy from "Age of Love", being picked by the Golden St. Warriors in the first round of the NBA draft was a dream come true. But, for the Warriors, Belinelli's performance in the summer league is making them think of what is yet to come, and they may be the biggest winner thus far.

In his debut in the Vegas Summer League, Belinelli dropped 37 points. Not only were people impressed, they were nothing short of amazed. When all was said and done, the Firin' Italian averaged almost 23 points a game, and even averaged almost 3 assists a game as well.

Although he's only 21 years old, he's played at the top flight competition of Italy for almost five years. Describing himself as a "toughie", he has noted that he loves the challenge the NBA has to offer, and many have said he reminds of the late Drazen Petrovic, who played a style of ball many guards have tried to emulate but rarely succeed. In the world of the high-profile players that sloshed through the summer league like they were in slow motion, Belinelli was the spark that lit up the Vegas sky. And maybe, just maybe, Golden State's surging hopes.
