Raptors even series behind Parker and Bosh to cap off Mitchell's award day

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! Is this a mason's convention?

My apologies to Woody Harrelson for stealing his line, but this basically sums it up for game 2 between the Nets and the Raptors. However, Toronto did less clanging than New Jersey, and ended up eeking out an 89-93 win to even the playoff series 1-1.

In a day marked by coach Sam Mitchell winning the coach of the year award, Anthony Parker poured in 26 points and Mr. Consistency Chris Bosh added 25 and 13 boards. And while Nets' stars Vince Carter and Jason Kidd put up their usual double-doubles, the key to this game was the vast difference in Richard Jefferson, who went from 28 points in the first game to only 13 in the second, and some of those were garbage points.

Nonetheless, both teams looked like D-League teams in stinking up the shooting category, going 31-76 overall. For the Raptors to keep the momentum going, it will definitely have to improve going now to Jersey---because if there's one thing for sure, it's that Carter will not go 8-24 again in this series. Count on it.

These teams are very evenly matched, and this is shaping out to be the best first round matchup of them all (barring the Mavs dropping--say it ain't so--two straight to the Warriors). Let's keep it going, boys!
