Rockets' Reed arrested for Marijuana

In yet another string of NBA arrests, Justin Reed, little-used power forward for the Houston Rockets, was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi on possession of marijuana. While it's not like the lot that Ricky Williams uses, it is still nonetheless an arrest that the Rockets don't need after going through the Rafer Alston situation and his two arrests.

Reed was arrested Tuesday night in Jackson. He posted $500 bond early Wednesday and was released. Reed was charged with misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, which carries a fine from $100 to $250. No date has been set for his appearance.

Reed had come over in a deal that sent Juwan Howard to the Timberwolves this summer. This doesn't bode well for a team already struggling--perhaps the inevitable signing of Dikembe Mutumbo will bring their spirits up. Let's hope so, else the Rockets will start being known as the Cincinnati Bengals of the NBA.
