Shaq gets clearance

So,everybody is on their high horse about Shaquille O'Neal going to the Phoenix Suns, and one of the things people have constantly gone back to is that he is "old" relatively NBA speaking, and his injuries are much too much for him to be successful. Well, you can't say that any more. A team physician for the Suns examined O'Neal as normally done when a player changes teams, and reported that he weighed 321 lbs, 11 percent body fat, and holds no issues in terms of structure with his body.

That's great, doc. So....what's that mean for all of the issues he's been under for the last several years? Are we to believe that all of these games previously with the Heat maybe weren't...well...legit?

Regardless if they were or not, it still can't change the fact that the style of game the Suns run (literally) is so outside of the scope of Shaq's game, it is going to be one of those things that will be fun to watch merely to see what the outcome will be--because I don't think there's much of an "if" involved with this--it just won't happen. To me, Shaq may be structurally sound, but the fast-pace game will certainly mean more injuries than he had before. Somewhere Shawn Marion will be giggling....
