Shhh....Golden State is back

shhh.GIF

Last year, they took the NBA world by storm, defeating the big bully Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the NBA playoffs in one of the most improbable series in a long time. This year, though, they started sluggish. But guess what?? Shhh...Golden State is BACK.

With a win last night against the hapless T-Wolves, the Warriors moved to seven games over .500, the first time they have done that in the regular season since 1994, when Chris Webber was donning the GSW unis. But the thing is--even though the Warriors really made a name for themselves last year, no one's really been talking about them too much. A lot of press has been given to another improbable team, the Portland Trail Blazers, along with the Lakers' huge run as of late. Meanwhile, ever since Stephen Jackson returned to the team after serving a suspension, the team has gone 22-10--not something to dismiss at all.

The sad thing is, that even with the Warriors sitting now at 23-16, they are the eighth-best team record wise in the West. Can you say imbalance?

Kudos to Warriors coach Don Nelson who has kept this team afloat. We all knew he was a great coach, but he's proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's one of the best of all-time.
