Ouch. Keeping the Rockets under 100 is a pretty decent feat, but when your team can't break 90, that equals a big L. And this "L" put the Sonics at 11 in a row. Of course they've struggled over the year, but they haven't looked quite as inadequate as they have over January. The loss marked the 10th in a row on the year and Seattle now stands at 9-32.
I guess a silver lining would be that they are not last in their division...yet. They lead the lowly T-wolves by 3 games. Kevin Durant continues to be a shining star but even he has struggled immensely over the past 3 games. Even though he is averaging just under 20 a game, his supporting cast is even more inept, with only two other players in double figures, and that includes an over-the-hill Wally Szczerbiak.
Can they be building character off of this? Just ask the T-Wolves, who look like zombies out there. It's supposed to be rebuilding, and they look like they are absolutely no where close to improving. Better get it together or else the only race they will be in is for the most lottery balls.
