"Starbury" Latest of Knicks' Woes

Stephon Marbury has never been someone who anyone would ever regard as giving, a team player, and a good all-around guy. In the media, he's often been chastised by his me-first, seeming arrogance, and uninspired play. So when the news broke that Marbury was fined 180K for missing a game this week with the Knicks, honestly, no one was surprised.

That Isiah Thomas and the Knicks didn't suspend Marbury was actually the surprise. One day after missing the game, Marbury was in uniform and almost helped the Knicks pull off a win against the Clippers. When questioned about the non-suspension, Thomas made a comment that he has played with people he didn't like and coached people he didn't like, but the main initiative was to win a ball game.

Now why would you say something like that? Thomas has never been ultimately known for his class (this is why he had a sexual harrassment suit), but to say something like that publicly is just appalling. "Starbury" may have his own issues as a player, but as a GM, Thomas has got to exercise some grace here--he looks worse than Marbury does, no matter what excuse Stephon comes up with. The drama and circus surrounding Thomas continues...when are they going to cut this guy loose once and for all???? (I am speaking of BOTH).
