We all knew the Suns could score, but geeez.....Making 18 of their first 21 shots, the Suns blazed to 80 first half points in a 127-111 victory against Sacramento. Even the Suns were surprised.
Rolling off its sixth win in a row, Phoenix relied on Shawn Marion's 25 and Steve Nash's 18 pts and 15 dimes to go to 9-2. The 47 points in the first quarter was an NBA season-high and the 80 pts they dropped were the most the Suns have scored in a half in almost 13 years.
The secret? Well, really no secret. There are only three teams worse than the Kings in scoring defense, and they played without Ron Artest and Mike Bibby due to his injury. The Suns have been first in scoring, so the equation was simple=lights out for the Suns.
Hey Reggie Theus--think maybe you can teach a little thing called defense to your team? See, it's not that hard--you keep your body in front of the ball, hands up, challenge the shots, box out, and voila!! It would be nice if they could stop---well, anyone. Phoenix definitely has the tools for this, but giving that up is embarrassing. You should be ashamed of your team...
