Suns setting? San Antonio takes advantage of suspensions

Come on. I mean--COME ON!

Robert Horry gets benched. Ok, great, he was the one that laid out Steve Nash at the end of game four. But how does the NBA really think it can get away without criticism by also suspending Phoenix Suns' stars Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw? I mean, come on! This is the playoffs, and emotions are running high--the person that starts the incident should no doubt be the one taking the brunt, but when Stoudemire and Diaw got named, all I could think was that the fix was in...

And, of course, the Spurs saunter into US Airways arena and take away a "W" to send it back to San Antonio where they can clinch the series and be set to take on the Utah Jazz in the conference finals.

But have they really earned it?

I say no. They only beat the depleted Suns on a three-pointer in the waning seconds, and even though it was at Phoenix, you have to figure that without Amare and Boris, Phoenix was indeed hurting, and the blood was flowing. If the Spurs clinch and move on, I say let's all send a letter to the NBA asking for Stu Jackson's resignation. Yes, I am a Suns fan, but even if I wasn't, this would still ring clear--this was a travesty and abuse of power. 'Nuff said.
