Surprise, Surprise! Early Musings of the NBA

Even though we're only a few weeks into the season, there are some things that need to be brought up that are some "odd" things. Let's go...

1) Steve Nash--his scoring is out of this world!! And, naturally, this means that his assists are down a little--but the raise in points is something many teams are going to have to start paying close attention to.

2) Washington finally wins a game--after losing big to start and finally beating the Hawks. They can't stop anyone on the defensive end, and their offense is nothing short of boring. They need to reverse their fortune else they will be possibly headed for a showdown with the Sonics for worst record.

3) Ben Wallace looks like his name should be Ben Dover, because that's what he's making the Bulls do. With averaging less than 5 boards and having blocked a little over 1 shot per game, he looks like a shell of himself. Experts warned of this when the Bulls signed him two years ago, and while he did some damage, he's heading downhill quickly.

4) Anthony Parker--holy cow, where did this bomber come from? Many thought that his shooting prowess last year (44% from the arc) was out of this league, but he's hitting 61% of his threes thus far and has made 6 of 9 the last 2 games. It's starting to look like a definite strength and not a fluke.
