Thomas' firing long overdue

I know I am not giving breaking news here, nor any mind-shattering commentary, but I have said it once, and I'll say it at least a dozen more times until it happens--Isiah Thomas should be fired, and the sooner, the better. He has shamed the Knicks franchise in every way possible, crapping all over the storied past of great players and great teams, with haphazard GM moves, sexual harassment charges, poor team performances, and even poorer coaching.

Thomas has proven once and for all that just because you've played the game and were good at it that it doesn't translate to success in a suit. Larry Bird has had his troubles in running a team of significance in Indiana, and Michael Jordan had a pretty lame run as partial owner of the Washington Wizards (note, I do think MJ will be the exception once he's had ample time with the Bobcats). But Bird and Jordan didn't basically take the team and city down in flames--and that's what Thomas is doing. He was quoted after the Knicks seventh straight loss that the booing was "deserved" and that in New York if a person or teams perform poorly that "there's a lot of venom that comes at you."

Are you that naive, Isiah? You haven't done jack, and you need to be the bigger man and get out of dodge. Do us all a favor. (FYI I am not even a Knicks fan, just deplored by the gravity of the situation this guy has taken it to).
