TIMBERRRRRRRR--wolves (Watch out Below)

Yes, there's some abstract meaning to the title of the article, although it's not all that abstract. Minnesota has fallen--get it??"Timberrrrr"--like what a lumberjack yells when a tree is going down? Hello? Is this thing on???

And the team has fallen--hard. While it's no surprise that the T-wolves are not as good as before when they had Kevin Garnett, this team is flat out hard to watch. Al Jefferson is leading the team in scoring and rebounds, and an over-the-hill Antoine Walker is near the top in scoring as well. The team is turning the ball over almost 16 times a game, and the margin difference is a staggering -7.1. At 2-10, they are in a division that is definitely not exactly hot and heavy, but yet they don't show too many signs of life or improvement. Even more disappointing is first-round draft pick Corey Brewer, who is averaging a paltry 3.8 points a game and 33% from the field.

Minnesota's brass obviously thought that the team would be in a rebuilding year, but at the rate they are going, they will be battling Seattle for the most chances for the #1 draft pick next year. They won't be making any moves trade-wise to improve the team, if anything they will be trading some personnel for draft picks--and if they do, Minnesota fans will be doing the 'ole Chicago Cub adage--"Wait 'til next year..."
