Timberwolves get rare road win

al_jefferson.jpg

Kevin Martin was sssssssssssssmokin'. Dropping 48 on the hapless Minnesota Timberwolves, one would think the next line of this post would be a Sacramento King victory. However, that is not the case. I know, I know, what's the world coming to?? Despite Martin's heroics, Minnesota pulled off a rare road victory in defeating the Kings 111-103.

Following a great game by Al Jefferson, who scored 21 and grabbed 13 boards, the Timberwolves did not look like a team that could possibly end up with the NBA's worst record. Scorching the nets at 52% from the field and 46% from downtown, they systematically dismantled the Kings and never trailed after the first quarter.

Even though the T-Wolves only have 13 wins, 2 of them have come against the Kings. Maybe it's the matchups that they get favorably against them, but when you put it into perspective that Martin was raining from everywhere, the fact that Minnesota did not relent and falter like they've done against many teams is a good sign that this team has some life still in it and perhaps can be something they can build on moving forward. Maybe.
