T'Wolves Trade for Juwan Howard. Kevin Garnett Brooding.

Kevin McHale has finally done it! This is the piece that keeps Kevin Garnett in Minnesota! Get excited T'Wolves fans!

According to ESPN, the Rockets and T'Wolves have agreed to swap Juwan Howard for Mike James in a deal that could be finalized as early as today. Apparently the only sticking point is figuring out if they want to throw more players into the deal.

Finally Kevin McHale does something to keep Kevin Garnett happy! I mean Juwan Howard is a young dynamic superstar to finally give Garnett another option to help carry the team to a championship. Wait what's that you're saying? Howard ISN'T a young dynamic superstar? He's just an overpaid journeyman who gets you ten points a game on a good day? No, no, no. I don't believe it. You mean to tell me that Kevin McHale would basically trade Mike James (who he signed a year ago to much fan fare even AFTER drafting Randy Foye, who basically plays the same position) for what is basically a old role player? Wow...I'm floored. Just goes to show you that you never know with the NBA.

Oh and as far as analysis of this deal I would say that it's a good trade for both teams I suppose. James isn't really needed in Minnesota since they have Foye (a fact that should have been noticed BEFORE THEY EVEN SIGNED HIM!) and he'll give Houston another scoring threat besides McGrady and Yao. Howard will do what he does in Minnesota, and by that I mean score a few points and get a few rebounds each game. Don't really expect him to make a huge difference in their fortunes next year.
