Ugly Win: Suns keep Jazz reeling

Usually, the word "ugly" and Phoenix Suns don't go together. But in their 103-98 win over the Utah Jazz, it was exactly that. The high-flying, run-and-gun team got down to the nitty-gritty style of play alot of other teams do in defeating the Jazz, so much that Steve Nash suffered a chipped tooth.

Having allowed over 100 points in seven straight games, coach Mike D'Antoni challenged the team to D-up. And while they allowed 98, there was still a different feel to the team than before--this team was more blue-collar than anything, which could spell trouble for the NBA if it continues. Nash scored 29 and handed out 11 dimes, while the Jazz' Carlos Boozer had 24 and 13 boards.

Speaking of the Jazz, they are in a state of despair, losing their fifth straight, its longest of the season. The biggest issue was free throw shooting, where the team shot a paltry 63% from the line, most notably Deron Williams missed 2 with 38 seconds left that could have made the game much different. Basically, what we are seeing is two teams heading in different directions. What happens from here is anyone's guess.
