Walsh to Isiah: Answers, please

fireisiah.gif

Donnie Walsh means business. And when he means business, watch out. Directly in the crosshairs: Isiah Thomas. Not that this is any surprise, Thomas has run the New York Knicks so far into the ground that fans have to be sooooooo embarrassed by what a shell of a team that has been left behind from the glory days of the '90s.

Walsh has said that Thomas will be able to complete the season, but that's not like a statement like that is such a big deal--there's less than a week left. But what he has publicly said is that Thomas needs to answer to what went wrong with the Knicks this year. I know it may be rhetorical (we lost more games than we won), but the problem is with who is answering the question: Thomas. Again, not a surprise--it's not as if the Knicks have had awful players; sure, they had some injury issues, but they play in an incredibly weak conference, and with the talent being at least competitive, it is ALL on coaching.

Thomas has never proven to be a good General Manager or head coach. His constant run ins with Stephon Marbury and in-game arguments with Quentin Richardson and Zach Randolph prove that he has little control over his team and even more scary--himself. If Thomas is still in the league by May, I will be FLOORED.
