Warriors end of the road is near

Let's face it. People are talking up that the Golden St. Warriors must beat the Phoenix Suns tonight to stay alive in the western conference playoff race. The problem is that it just doesn't have to do with this game--the Denver Nuggets, who control their own destiny have a game--at home--against league doormat Memphis. So even if the Warriors pull off the improbable at Phoenix--the Nuggets winning that game make it nil.

The Warriors know that they lost their chance when they lost at home to Denver a little over a week ago. While Don Nelson usually has some crafty things up his sleeve, his team unfortunately this year couldn't get the job done when they needed to. With Denver riding more and more confidence and even beating the Rockets last game, all that is needed is to just do the necessary motions and it will all be over for Golden St.

It may have been different if Phoenix still wasn't "playing", but with the tightness of the western conference race, every game counts, and there won't be any let up--not like the Suns really ever do that anyways. But with so much at stake, instead of sitting there acting like the Warriors have a chance, let's be realists; when the horn sounded in the loss to the Nuggets, the season went with it. Good luck next year, boys.
